Your conversations stay in this browser
Conversation history is stored locally in your browser (localStorage), on this device only. Chatt Guru currently has no server-side conversation-history database — we cannot read, back up, or restore your conversations.
That has two practical consequences: clearing your browser data (or using private browsing) can remove your saved conversations, and switching to another browser or device does not transfer them — there is no cloud backup or cross-device sync.
What leaves your device
To generate a reply, the messages in your current conversation are sent to our server, which forwards them to the configured AI service that produces the response. This transmission is what makes the chat work; without it, the Guru cannot answer.
We do not store your conversation history on our servers. We make no claims here about the AI provider's own data retention or training practices — check the provider's policies if that matters for what you share.
Removing your conversations
Inside the chat you can delete individual conversations, or use “Forget me” to remove all conversations stored in this browser. Clearing your browser's site data does the same thing.
